Like the title says, the shimmy is not a death wobble or anything like that but definitely got my attention as I was going downhill at highway speeds recently. I've had the truck for 2 years and will occasionally have something similar happen but since it was highway speeds and downhill and traffic in front was braking, I put some fair pressure on mine and felt it. I called the closest dealer at the time but for the rest of the road trip, the truck worked fine and so we never stopped by. The bed was filled with luggage and the whole family was in the truck too. Any one else have this? Recent oil change at my local dealer says truck is in perfect working order all around.

Looks like you have factory size wheel and tires. Have they been balanced at all recently or need a balance?

Rotors could have brake pad material buildup (gives what some call warped feeling) in heavy braking.

We dont have the issue with the 2023 while braking but the steering does when you hit 80 mph, pretty smooth prior to that. Tires rotated and balanced on a regular basis. Slight warping in the rotors is what I would suspect you are experiencing , just had the our Landcruiser rotors resurfaced due to the same.

Yes, I've experienced it twice now. Both times I was driving down mountain passes with traffic on and off their brakes in front of me. The brake shuddering went away once the brakes cooled down.

I've concluded the Gen 3 brakes are junk, which is very disappointing considering the brakes on my previous Tundras were great. I plan to upgrade the rotors and pads with the best aftermarket parts available at around 25-30K miles, if the factory brakes last that long.

Same. Mine started squeaking within a month of purchase and multiple new pads and rotors have not fixed it so I've just lived with it. Sounds like the latest wobble is due to the latest set (changed out about a year ago) Anyone have aftermarket recommendations? I'm happy to change them out myself if there is a consensus on what has worked best.
