I just had the local shop that does paint protection film for the dealers put that on my hood and front painted parts. Looks great and protects the paint. Have them wrap it around the front edge.
I had a bug deflector on my previous Tundra and I never want one on my truck again.

Just don’t like the look of them. And eventually they deteriorate. The fasteners corrode. It’s all personal preferences of course but the paint protection film is a cleaner look.

I installed mine today, weathertech version. Do you find it rubs on the headlights a bit? Wondering if I need to take it off and do it again. Lines up perfectly with edge of the hood, but looks like it’s rubbing.

I got this EGR bug shield as a Christmas gift. I installed it as directed and it vibrates at 70 mph. I called and complained so they sent me more hardware….the same hardware so obviously it didn’t fix crap but only made it worse because I added more rubber stops. 1/17/23.

I used the AVS with zero issues.

Same shit here. Waite months for them to come up with a “fix” according to real truck. So I got the same hardware pack, they did update the instructions though. Hardware was bent and they didn’t include protective tape. Reached out to real truck and they just did a refund. I was instructed to field destroy the parts. Can’t believe EGR produced that POS, and it’s still being sold in places. Real Truck service was good, but it took over 4 months to be final.

I dropped in the Line-X shop and inquired about a bug deflector for my 2022 Tundra and was told that no one made a good bug deflector that attached with hardware. He said they had bad experiences with the stick-on models and absolutely would not recommend them. I then called Toyota and discovered they don't have a product either. The parts guy said they recommend the protective wrap kit that offers protection to the hood, bumper, fender and door handle pockets. However, they do not install them so I wouldn't have to go to an aftermarket accessory store to get that done.

I put a AVS Aeroskin on my truck. No issues, and it looks good.

I just installed my EGR on the 2024, reason is I don't like and don't trust the whole thing glued onto the hood without any sort of anchoring. previous I used AVS on my F150 and it was fine, but after discovering the hovering type, I think I like it better as an approach. Now, it seems some member here get wind noise and flapping with their EGR at highway speed, I drove at 70-80 and there was no movement or any sort of whistling noise. I think the key is that with the 3rd gen Tundra, the seven giant rubber cones are attached to the plastic deflector, NOT to the hood. I had a 4runner, and installed two hover type deflectors, one for weathertech and one from Toyota (made by EGr). The Weathertech is the better one as there's no metal bracket at all, the whole thing is molded to hug the hood edge then screwed using nylon bolts with inserts. The OEM has the 3M sticker, then metal brackets. Either product was great, lots of space between the plastic and hood, so there was little necessity for the rubber cone (which was attached to the hood, very little). BUT, the black cone for the 3rd gen Tundra has to go on the deflector, the instruction made it clear. They provided 7 small 3m stickers which stick on the hood for the cone tips to touch. I feel that on mine, three of the 7 cones are already in contact on the 3M sticker, providing stability, so there's no flapping.

Also, it seems the deflector by Toyota almost doesn't exist, can't find it anywhere on the internet.
