Hey guys, I’m having a click but no crank issue. According to the meter my battery is in good condition. AGM optimum about 6 years old.
My truck has been sitting for about 2 months and I forgot to disconnect the battery. It was completely dead when I got home but with a charger it started up. Now, (it sounds like it’s coming from the starter buried in the valley) it will click but not even try to crank any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would start by replacing the battery. Your volt meter may say it's good, but did you actually load test it?

6 year battree is a hell of a run. But it should be replaced as a matter of timely maintenance. Then report back.

    Awesome thanks guys.
Load test was leaning toward new battery.
Do you guys think the optima is worth it? I mean it did last 6 years ha!

If you haven't added the necessary diode in the ALT-S fuse slot, I wouldn't get another AGM. If you have, and you don't mind spending the $$, go for it.

It only takes a minute to pull the battery and have the local auto parts store test it for CCA. Voltage on a meter will show you whether all cells are working properly; won't tell you shit about how many CCA the battery puts out. CCA are what facilitates turning over the engine, not voltage.

What happens if you connect jumper cables? Does it crank then?
