Thought I would post this in case others have a similar issue. It seemed that the first (and sometime second) call I made or received through Bluetooth would result in a very noisy connection.

Almost like a dial up modem connecting to the internet (for those of us old enough to remember that sound :().

If I redialed or got a another call, it would be fine. This would restart every time I shut the vehicle off.

Dealer couldn't find an issue. I decided to go into the Bluetooth settings on my phone and turned LDAC off for the Tundra device (under Codecs). This solved the problem.

In fact, my phone updated and turned LDAC back on. Problem reappeared until I turned it off again.

I have a Samsung A71 if that helps but am not sure if the problem is specific to my phone model or something else.

Well. seems I was wrong. Took a call the other day in the Tundra. Couldn't hear the person. All static. Called them back and phone was fine. Checked the LDAC and it was off. I guess I have to try my wifes phone. So at best, this seems intermittent. Any ideas out there, let me know otherwise I will just have to live with it until I get a new phone.

Op, did you find the problem. I am having the same issue with my '22 Tundra, with the last 2x Phoebe I had. (Google Pixel 4, and my current Pixel 7 Pro).

I've messed around with Bluetooth setting, even in the developer option.. didn't find a solution.

Im randomly having the noise issue you mention, and sometimes the conversation switch from the car audio back to the phone audio. On the head unit the timer keeps goingz, the other person on the line hears me through the phone microphone instead of the car's. When I use the head unit to switch the audio source from the phone to the Bluetooth, it works for a couple of second then switch back to the phone ...

I've made quite a few calls from the truck and haven't experienced the problem since my update last May. I just checked my phone and LDAC is still turned off for my Tundra Bluetooth connection.

Not sure if this fixed it or not but it's been good for a while now. No update done to the truck that I am aware of.

    Sorry - not much help.

OP was this after an update on the phone, or the Tundra? I'm having this garbage connection issue on my up to date pixel, and another one where:

Phone reporting to be connected for phone, I go to pickup the call and it's not over Bluetooth. When I select Bluetooth from drop down on Tundra screen, it falls back to headset / speaker.
