20240318_162656.jpg 20240318_162643.jpg Just finished installing the Bakflip MX4. For anyone who has this cover or has experience with it, I have a couple questions.

Is the rubber seal supposed to go completely over(cover) the foam bulkhead seal?

Is this too much gap between the tailgate and the end of the cover?

Yes, the rubber lip up front just sits with pressure on the foam seal. It appears a little far back (to the rear) based on the overlap on the gate. I’ll get some pics of how mine is in the am/daylight.

Sorry man, had to fly out of State for a family emergency after saying I’d check some clearances for you. Will be back to my truck Sat night.

Looks right. You should be able to close the tailgate without opening the cover. You don’t want the side seal hanging over into the tailgate gap. That gap looks normal. IMG_6291.jpg

No worries, this isn't that important.

Thank you. I just wasn't sure on how it's supposed to sit.

Sorry for the delay. The rear gaps look the same as yours which only allows a little water down between the gate and bed. You can see the amt of overhang on the top of the gate. That overhang on the gate actually stops it from automatically opening when either unlock button is pushed.

In front you can see how the small foam pads go around the corner and under the front rubber flap. Note my rubber flap edge is flush with the leading edge of the bed in the center. (foam rubber stick-on weatherstrip underneath) Theres a little bow in the front edge of the bed I think your cover is a little further back.
    Not sure if that helps.
