I have had an annoying buzz for a long time that sounded like it was coming from right behind the radio or where the dash tray is. I Finally touched the black box behind the rear view mirror and found the center section vibrates with certain road conditions, certain rpm’s with my trd exhaust and cars/bikes near me on the road with loud/deep exhaust. So I put two pieces of weatherstripping between the mirror arm and the black plastic pieces and no more rattle/buzz :)

    Tks for this!

I have found a rattle/buzz in the same area, & just found out that if I touched the plastic cover on the windshield by the mirror it stopped! I will see if this would help it or if I need a similar but different fix for it!

Me too, the one piece removed with a grab of a hand. I placed a small strip of electrical tape behind it and snapped it back in problem solved.

At least the rattle wasn't from your wife forgetting she left a joint container in the sunglass holder by the mirror. That got a few laughs from the service dept. It was in our Highlander and sounded exactly like it was coming from the middle of the dash.
