Hi, I found this forum about a week ago when I located a 1st generation Tundra which I was considering purchasing as a daily truck for myself. As I Googled questions about the Tundra, I found most times the answers came from Tundras.com. The information on this forum was invaluable to me in determining whether to purchase. (Example: condition of frame). I’m happy to say I purchased the Tundra today and look forward to learning more about it on this forum while also enjoying driving the Tundra. I’ll try to add some photos soon

Thank you for the welcomes. After getting my Tundra home - went on vacation for 10 days. Was happy to return home and see no fluid/oil leaks under truck. While on vacation, read the 1st Generation Forums quite a bit. When I purchased truck, I knew I would need to change timing belt/water pump - as truck has 93,000 miles on it. Initially, I thought I would have it done next year - as I’ll likely put less than 4,000 miles on it annually. However, after reading forums and really enjoying driving the truck, I have an appointment for timing belt/water pump on March 27th. I figure the peace of mind getting it done is well worth the cost.
