I’m looking at putting spacers in front struts 2” and 2” rear lift blocks to keep the factory rake and just wondered if I will need new shocks for the back?thanks

    Alot of them
I would look at other options such as Bilsteins rather than spacers and blocks. They ride rough as hell.

Spacers and blocks are meh. And yes, you’ll need longer shocks in the back.

What would you guys do for a 2” lift all way around? I see the TRD shocks are bilsteins or whatever i would like to maintain the factory ride if i can, wondering what kinda of shocks and front struts you would recommend. Thanks

I plan on eventually going with a 275/65/20 tire as well

Sounds like perfect candidate for 5100’s on the front and an add a leaf in the rear or a block depending on your preference. And yes longer shocks in the rear

personally i went with 6112's up front and 5100's for the back. The 6112's will ride waaay better than spacers and the 5100's will give you and additional inch of shock travel in the back over the stockers.
you can also still ad a 1" block or add-a-leaf in the back to keep the rake

How does it adjust ?turn thread s or something on the strut?im just looking at bilstien shock kits and looks like it just comes with the shock and coil spring. Just trying to figure out hoe it adjusts. I know how torsion bars work on old chevy trucks but this stuff is all new to me so bare with me.:)

There are grooves in the shock body and c clips. You pull the spring and shock apart, move the c clip to a different groove, then reassembled. The spring seat/collar goes around the c clip and prevents it from popping out. It’s a simple, proven setup.

Eibach 2.0’s are in the same price category; they are threaded and fully adjustable. They ride softer, but that might not be what you are after. I’ve run both and prefer the Bilsteins.

If you want a factory ride, I suggest you do a LOT of research. Bilstein is a digressive shock, opposite of factory ride. Factory ride, stick to a progressive or linear shock, King, Fox, few others. I went through this issue already, few post below yours. Granted ride is subjective, but I just replaced Bilstein 6112/5160 combo for Fox 2.5 Performance Elite DSC and its night and day for road comfort. Also, depending on your budget, remember that more times then not you get what you pay for. For the rear, try to stay under 1.5" of lift since most rear shocks only do a max of 1.5" lift. Also, stay away from lift blocks, stick to lift shackles or add-a-leaf.
