After extensive diagnosis - Toyota engineers and the dealer have determined that the drive shaft is defective and is out of balance.
As of 01/30/2024 they are on back order. I hope this post helps everyone who has this issue. I have suggested to them the following: loose engine mounts ; faulty torque converter; faulty hybrid motor; bad transmission and faulty drive shaft. I was right on the money on the drive shaft. Also - this is a known issue with the drive shaft manufactured from 2022 all the way up to 2024 on some models.

Does this present like a lugging sensation? Like when you drive a manual car, and you decrease vehicle speed, should downshift but don’t and try to accelerate?

This what I am feelin in my 2023 Tundra , Dealership can’t replicate but they took out for very small test drive ,

is there anyway I can confirm this myself or prove this or is there more resources to confirm this post that the Dealership & the engineer found this !?

Mine has the same shake, more noticeable when towing when I get to 55-60mph and above. Dealership wants me to drag my trailer over to them (1.5hr one way) so they can feel it, as they don’t feel in a quick test drive, no trailer. They tell me they have no way to check driveshaft balance and if they can’t replicate it….can’t attempt a fix. I just haven’t taken time off to devote a day to it…tows like hell, but I’m at 14k miles and need to get it taken care of.

Hey Thanks , now you mention trailer I did feel it more with the Horse Trailer but I thought was the trailer now I’m wondering if wasn’t Truck to begin with , but haven’t driven with Trailer lately, maybe I need to test this as I know now ,Trailer is Top Condition as just got that looked at serviced / new tires …..have been letting the Tundra sit for while now because haven’t had time for all ReCalls , but needed it today & just feel the shake , without trailer, I’m at 17,000 , something doesn’t feel right

I feel it most going up a slight incline, but when towing and it hits 60-65mph is about when it shifts to 8th. If I manually shift to 7th I still feel it, but more prevalent 8th and above. I thought it may be the trailer, but happens with both trailers.

You’ll probably have to request a tech ride along. If you’re close enough to take a trailer, I’d do it and replicate the issue with them in the truck.
Good luck! I feel like the dealership will take care of mine, once I have a trailer behind it, I just have to make the time and bite the bullet.
