Just purchased another Tundra. Sold my 2007 last year and thought I was going to get a cyber truck but then saw cybertruck pricing and decided to pickup a 2.5 Gen.

The main use of this truck is to take my kids camping and go to music festivals with friends. I’d love to get back into off-roading but all my off-roading friends are off having kids.

My last Tundra had minimal modifications: spacer lift, TSS wheels with 35’s, alpharex headlights and a retrax tonneau. This one will hopefully be better…

picked it up with a spacer lift and some awful 20” chrome wheels and cracking tires. Passed Toyota used car inspection BESIDES the fact that it needed new tires (always the first thing I change out), shocks not in great condition, and a leaking steering rack. (Pic 1)

Step 1. Order new wheels, tires, suspension, and oem steering rack.

Wheels are in! 17” Bronze Method’s with 35x12.5x17 tires.

steering rack and new bilstein 6112/5160 suspension delivered and have an appointment set with my mechanic.

    Audio Upgrade post

I was lucky enough to have the upgraded JBL Audio which I realized I could only put up with for the 30 min drive home before I knew I was going to upgrade. I thought it would be easier than it is but after reading, I know it ALLL has to go…

starting with tearing the car apart for sound deadening. Check out that speaker…

I have some old Focal components that I’m planning on using in the front. Ordered some Infinity Reference 6530 components for the rear. Got a couple Kicker 3.5’s on the way for the dash speakers for fill.

trying to decide on HU, amp(s), and sub options.

Boooo, should've went & overpaid for the cybertruck!! Just kidding, welcome back to the Tundra life. :hattip: Would be cool if you could get a new steering rack covered under that steering rack recall if your truck qualifies for replacement.

Thanks for the thought… I already tried, haha. It’s not covered under the recall :(
