Finally did this after having the parts for nearly a year. Followed the instructions on page 1 / post 28 and it worked great.

Like someone else said, DO NOT TURN THE VEHICLE ON TO CHECK POWER WITHOUT THE PARKING BRAKE CONNECTOR HOOKED UP.

I did this quickly the night before an annual trip, adding USB for my kids in the back seat. Truck was pissed off all day yesterday. No parking brake and no cruise control.
I called 6 dealerships along our travels about stopping by as we pass and I finally got an accepting dealer 5 hours into our trip. Took them 5 or 10 minutes with the tablet to reset the vehicle.

So i have a dumb question.

Where dose the power to the USB originate from the factory equipped trucks? I know they dont splice power from the upper cig lighter or console USB wires.

Why cant we just buy the factory male/female connectors that are prewired plug and play. VS making our own harness and spliceing/tapping. Anyone have a part number?

I bought a small USB hub on Amazon and found that while you can pull a small Lightning/USB-C/mini-USB through the holes for the rubber mat, the thicker connection on the 2 different hubs I tried did not fit. I had to use my drill to slightly expand the hole at the back of the compartment. Easy to follow the rest of the instructions and I have 4 ports available to the back seat now.

This is not a dumb question ;) I am curious myself. I would rather not splice something... wondering if anyone knows the part numbers to get.

For anyone that ordered 90980-12D25 at the dealer , did you call them up, show up in person to place the order?

Was it something your local dealer had on hand and you walked out the door with?

I’m trying to avoid the crazy shipping fee associated with this $5part .

All, new to this forum but wanted to ask if anyone has the full part number for the inverter and 120v outlet for the rear console? Also, does anyone have the wiring schematics for this? Thank you!

Unfortunately I don’t have the numbers handy but if you have no inverter installed - my Limited Off-Road doesn’t have one - I’d rather go with an aftermarket option. Toyota’s inverter is $$$ and not pure-sine wave. You’d not only need the inverter and plugs but might not have the harness that runs to the switch in the dash, fuse box, etc…

Finally got this done... added the factory usb & usb-c plug. Took about an hour to do start to finish (happily surprised that it was easierthan it looked).
Hopefully someone can provide the converter & 400W dash switch part number so I can get the ac plug working too...

Has anyone added the factory 120v plug in the box? If so it comes with a male end on the back….anyone know if the female match is on the back of the box or know the part number for the connector?

    thanks for the help.

Got these from AliExpress, 3 of each for less than $10 shipped . Made a harness without tapping/splicing into the factory wire.

You have enough to make an extra? If so, let me know or I can just buy the connectors off you if you don’t need them

My 2024 SR5 has the rear USB charging ports. I'm thinking it was a dealer installed option as my truck came with lots of extra's (OEM dash cam, center console safe, bed step, running boards...) It also came with 4 USB cables for all the various USB connections (type A->C, type C->C, TypeA->Micro, Type C->iPhone)

USB ports! So sad I’m saying this for an over $50k truck.
You guys never disappoint. Thanks to everyone this thread. I used the posi-taps to get to the one under the center counsel as it’s the same set up/ part. Just run the line under the console and you’ll be good for the usb/ usb-c at least

I’m requesting your guidance oh great one lol but really, I have all the parts I need but have yet to pull apart the whole console. But my question is, I don’t have the button for the 120V plug. Is that needed because I’ve hooked that up and it doesn’t work. FYI-my sr5 doesn’t have a wiring harness or button in the front, Toyota really left me high and dry)

I just installed mine. I tapped into the center console outlet and used the supplied part numbers for the wiring plug and connectors.

    Worked great.

I don't have the 12v outlet, but I really can't think of anything I'd need to plug in to the inside of the cab.
If I need 12v, I'll install a higher power inverter in my camper power distribution center when it finally gets delivered.

So here’s the problem, I have the wire for 120v in the the console( I plugged it in and it doesn’t work, assuming it needs a switch) does the front part of the console have a plug dedicated for the usb back seat or am I going to need to splice it? Sorry so many questions. I just don’t wanna pull the whole thing apart and not have everything I need. also, I have attached a picture of my USB-C for the backseat, if it’s perfect, but I wanna make sure I get the correct wiring for it.

That looks a lot like the port listed in this South East Toyota part.
    Part: 00016-34325
    https://www.sparksparts.com/p-rear-dual-usb-power-port-1634325

The sparksparts page says its for 2024 but the installation instructions says 2023. I'm very interest to know if this would actually work on any of the SR/SR5 models regardless of year. I cant find any info on this expect an obscure reference in the accessories thread.

The SET installation instructions are here:
    https://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/00016-34325inst.pdf

After reading through the instructions, the harness appears to just split off the center consoles USB power. So I see no reason why this wouldn't work on any model unless they changed the connectors.

Just ordered one through my SET Dealer

I hate to break it to you, but your truck did not come with any cables…you paid a 1000% mark up for those things.

I don't complain much about SET's add-ons, but those USB cables piss me off every time. Very minimal in the overall cost of the vehicle, but it's just greasy as hell charging upwards of $100 for less than $10-15 worth of cables.

I think the usb port mentioned previously in this thread and the one they install at factory does have the covers.

For some reason they decided to put the same usb port that’s in the console as part of this kit.

Going to add the factory USB and Factory 120v plugs to the rear of my '23 SR5 OR this week.
The 120v will be wired to my installed Renogy inverter and battery bank. I've already installed the 120v in the bed.
