I've got a bad lower control arm bushing on the passenger side and one that is not too far behind on the driver side. After speaking with a few mechanics, they unanimously suggested I replace the entire arm rather than just the bushing. 2008 TRD Tundra has a 2.5 inch lift, 1 inch wheel spacers and am running 275 tires. Does anyone have any recs on LCA's that will hold up to off-roading? Is this a OEM or nothing type of part?

I would say from very recent and very unfortunate series of events with my lower control arms, I can confirm it’s either you go OEM or Dirt king.
Not saying other brands can’t/wont work but I went through a Napa and autozone arm before going with a OEM arm in the end. A lot of the aftermarket’s don’t line up that well based on my experience and research

Old thread, but yesterday I ordered the Bison cam bolts & they said they use the NAPA high end LCA’s and have had great success with them.

I’m doing the same based on their recommendation, they come with the ball joint and have a lifetime warranty, at least if they fail I don’t have to buy a new arm.

If they do fail, I will replace the bushings with energy Suspension bushings, assuming it’s not the ball joint that fails.

Truck has 100k on it, no issues right now, but replacing them while I install my Eibach leveling kit doesn’t hurt my feelings, however if the OE cam bolts aren’t frozen, arms and bushings look good I’ll just return the NAPA ones.

I also grabbed the high end NAPA outer tie rod ends, I’d prefer to go OE here but they couldn’t get them in time for my weekend project, hoping I don’t have to use them either.

I don’t off road or anything so not abusing whatever parts I put in.

Thanks, I have 120k and when it got aligned earlier this year, they were able to get it close enough, but I was told “Camber caster bolts are seized and will need to be removed and replaced to correct camber.”

I don't know much about this truck because i just got it this year, and I'm not a seasoned mechanic, but I just bought lots of tools this year and have had my CRV in the garage replacing most of the suspension (bushings, links, shocks/struts, ball joints, tie rods). Basically everything that moves. So I am learning.

And I would like to do the truck work myself but will have to study it more which I enjoy.

Anyway, I went on Napa's site and looked for the highest priced things and found a couple of them.

    https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NCP2606132

    And this kit was interesting

    https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/RS_RS64902

Then I looked at OEM and found this

    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem...year=2013&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=()

So it seems to me that the OEM and Napa are about the same price unless I'm missing something.

If they have them in stock by the time you need them, stick with the OEM.

That sadly wasn’t an option for me.

You did find the correct Napa LCA if you have to go that route though.

Definitely go OEM if you can. I was in a pinch and put a pair of Moog LCAs in my '07, no issues so far, but it's only been 2,000 mi.

OK, yea, I would probably have time ahead of the job.

So the first single one was correct, not the kit with both sides right?
