My 4wd isn't working ...ibget nothing on the dash as far as 40 lo,4hi, nothing ......until my vsc light and check engine light comes on then it flashes 4lo .....I have already replace the actuator on the front axle housing, done tested the 4hi and 4low actuators on the transfer case they are both working....I have traced wires and disassembled my whole dash to make sure there isn't any chewed wires or broken wires..done replaced the selector know on the dash.... this is the only thing I can think of is the 4wd ecu... it looks like the previous owner bought one but it says on the tag it is for a 2010 tundra.... are they the same??? Cause I have an 2007. I have tried everything I know of and still nothing...please help

I think at this point I would bring it to a garage with a professional code reader. Surely, it must be throwing some codes that would narrow down the issue.

Might be a dumb question, but when you say the 4WD isnt working, do you mean that it isnt engaging at all? Just ruling out the possibility that a dash light is bad, and the indicator isnt working.

The table shown in this link might help too:

Having dealt w 4WD issues recently, it took a decent code reader to track the issue down to a sensor and harness.

OK...solid CEL, solid VSC and flashing 4Lo could be a bad battery or a loose connection at the AIP bypass relay.

My bad the vsc and the 4lo light flashes and the check engine and stability control stays solid.

Update I took it to a garage today and the code that it throws is a U0114 code : lost communication with 4wd clutch control module....any ideas on that???

A quick search on Google brought up this thread. Really not much else out there I could find. It would seem it is either the module or as he mentions a possible ground issue. I would double check all the terminals on the connector(s) going to the module. Usually these modules are looking for a 5V reference signal. Having the EWD manual would be helpful if you still want to fix it yourself, otherwise, it might be time to let a professional have a look.
