Square cut out under driver side

Hello I was vacuuming my truck today and notice this square cut out under the driver side and have no idea why it’s there and should there be some kind of cover ?

any help or feedback would greatly appreciated

 

My guess would be where the cable comes through the carpet for trucks with the JBL amp that is mounted under the drivers seat.

 

Your guess sounds about right…know I’m thinking of purchasing it to improve my sound !

I did no install the amp…

 

Don’t you already have the premium JBL system? Isn’t that the factory subwoofer?

 

Hello, I do have the factory JBL speaker system, but I do not have the inverter under the seat or the woofer behind the back seat....Maybe someday

 

I believe the inverter mounts on the floor inside the console near the back

 

I would suggest a different amp and speaker. The JBL one is not that great.

 

Aren't there two different optional audio systems? The "premium" sound system and the top trim JBL? Perhaps the premium does not come with an amp?

Edit: I just saw it's on the driver side. I'll check my 1794 tonight when I get home. I haven't noticed it before. The amp on the JBL system mounts under the passenger seat which you appear to have.
