What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

The bottom "base" is 60" x 53.5" is what I ended up with. I am thinking I should have went a little longer and notch the very back corners to go into that rear opening a bit to provide the back vertical piece to mount onto the base with a L-bracket accordingly. I measured and I think I am going to squeeze it out of what I have. I have ran into a problem finding the 2 center seat brackets but I "may have" found a set today here in the valley!

 

Nice rims. Are these 20"s or 18". Powder coated I assume? How about the red center caps? I like this look and I have a set of spare 20" that I may go this route.

Lesson learned: don't start up your Tundra, even for 30 seconds to drive up ramps, and then expect to wrench any time soon anywhere near the cats. Ouch!

Hello fellow black on black nightshade owner! I kept my wheels stock because I like the spoked black 20s but I do like yours as well. Did yours come with the 5.7 badge or did you add that aftermarket? I also like the tails and running boards along with the exhaust because it’s clean and keeps the identity of the original black tip just is x2 now.

I haven’t done any aesthetic mods unless you count floor mats or the grab handle. Sides that I’ve done a sub/amp and OEM power tailgate lock. Everything else is stock but the truck was scratched up by the previous owner as well as wrinkling the crap out of the front two seats which I want to fix but it’s going to cost 1000+ at an upholstery shop so idk I might just live with it.

Must have inflated the tire after it was snugged down the best he could get it.

 

So those are to be used as a 'backer' anywhere a bolt is running through a larger frame opening; the instructions will show the use of the ones that are similar but they are 'half-moon' shaped... for our tundras, the frames will accommodate the full circle whereas some other applications require 'half-moon' due to the holes being close to a corner/edge of the frame.

In other words.. if the inside of the frame has an opening that is 2-3 times the diameter of the bolt, but the outside of the frame has an opening the size of a bolt, you'd use a backer on the inside of the frame (in place of the standard washer) and a standard washer on the outside.

These are 20"s. I used 4 cans of Black Plasti Dip. For the center caps VHT Duplicolor ESP821007 Red High Temperature Plastic Paint. It was very easy and cheap process without removing the wheels using bags and masking tape. Hope this help!

Any issues with getting the warranty? Did you have to send proof of the mileage?

 

Good question and no, all verbal. I took a picture that recorded the date/time just in case though. Thought for sure he would ask me to send one. Jerry is a great guy and will recommend him to anyone, very busy. Took about three weeks for us to connect so it worked out. As a last ditch effort, called him randomly, and he answered, so he got a sale.
