Just picked up a 2007 regular cab with a 4.7 engine. Any more affordable bolt on replacement exhausts (loud doesn’t bother me) for this shorter cab? I’m not seeing anything.

Not necessarily the cheapest, but highest quality. Dirty Deeds Industries 12" SS exhaust, have it on my RCSB. 12" is the largest, so the smaller the muffler the louder it gets obviously, you can choose yourself. No drone with hemholtz, not obnoxious, good sound, but under towing/load it's subjectively "loud" as my dad put it. To me it's perfect under normal conditions. Easy bolt on and everything lined up great.

I concur. I have the 12" aluminized steel version (not much risk of rust here) on my double cab and I like it a lot. The best way to figure out if they have what you want is to give Keith at DD a call. He is very helpful on the phone and can make sure you get exactly what you want.
If loud doesn't bother you, you might want to go with a shorter version. I think they call the 8" their standard. I would still go with the resonator to kill drone. Their systems are bolt on. I only live an hour from DD so I went there and had them install it.

So what did you decide on. I’m looking for a solid exhaust for 2010 RCSB but I
need it to exit out the side. I don’t want underneath exhaust. Quiet is okay too

I wanted to do the side exit too, but rather keep the resonator for drone. Reach out to Dirty Deeds and he can probably make it happen, just might have to do the remaining side exit piece on your end. Since you use the stock tail piece with their exhaust.

I have one I’d pull off and sell on my RCSB.

Dirty deeds 10”. I have the helmholtz resonator as well.

Shoot me a PM if you’re interested! Located in SoCal, but can ship since it’s relatively small.

And in my opinion, don’t go loud (8”, Carven, Magnaflow, etc) on such a short cab. It becomes annoying quick.

The 10” with a helmholtz is perfect to my ears. No drone at all.

I put a 35” spare under the truck and the helmholtz was in the way. It became annoying fast with the drone.

Are you saying you had to remove the resonator because of your 35" spare?

I have a (285/75/18) 35" with the resonator still on with enough clearance, guess it may depend on where you drill out the hole for the helmholtz and true tire size, but it does fit with my setup.

That’s interesting! I couldn’t get mine to fit in any way without doing some bends, but don’t have a tube bender.

Took a quick pick for anyone with the same clearance concerns with a 35" spare and Dirty Deeds resonator(Helmholtz).

PS that bracket is digging into your tire and likely cutting it. You need to cut that off with a 35” tire.

^ I'll lower it and see what it looks like, thanks for the heads up.

I fabbed up my own side exit catback using a Magnaflow Super 10, SS mandrel bent pcs, and 4” blk tips from Amazon. I have the 5.7 and love the sound, especially when I’m “beast mode”. Noise is not that bad. Cost was about CAN$400.

We have a direct bolt on engineered specifically for not only Rcsb but also 4.7

starting st $350 we have the least expensive option. And the most expensive. And anything in between.

Not a criticism brother. Just trying to help. I’ve built tens of thousands of exhaust systems for tundras. That hanger only holding onto one pipe by a little bit of weld, is going to break off and leave the pipe hanging there with a big hole in it.

Not sure what part you’re talking about. The two inlet pipes to the muffler are the factory pipes with factory hangers. The rear most hanger I fabbed up. Not a good pic if you’re referring to that one, but it has a ton of weld on it, been like that for a about year now.

Does that piece fit a RCSB 5.7? My muffler is rotting. Not going to be able to save it. But that's not a $350 piece I'm thinking.
I want quiet, like Honda motorcycle quiet. I'll DIY something like I did with my '07 RCLB. Although I never thought of
side exit in front of tires before, but that is never a quieter option. I had to rebuild the tailpipe after I installed the
SOS lowering kit, it moved the spring pack into the way so I had to raise the tailpipe above the spring to exit.
And never, ever leave exhaust exits under a truck up here. Might as well dip it in the ocean.

What system do you sell for $350 for the RCSB with the 4.7? I am interested. Is that shipped?

Any catback we make can be made from aluminized steel and straight piped. That’s only $350. Shipping on a Rcsb system being so short is typically $50-$80

Haha! No worries. My welding is atrocious, but I put booger weld on top of booger weld. Lol!
In fact, I just cleaned up a bunch of my booger welds on that exhaust in my build thread.
