Old Gear Oil

    I was looking around the garage and I have some old 75W-90 Valvoline high performance (non-synthetic) gear oil that was used for the old Subie in their sealed bottles. I believe they are about 5-7 year old maybe. Bobistheoilguy forums say that they would be ok in sealed bottles from reading in their forums. What do you say, brethren? Should I just skip using them and go for the Valvoline synpower instead?

    Is factory fill synthetic? I wouldn't mind saving this oil when I do the gear oil in the wifes old Liberty. That's a dog anyway...

    That gear oil works great for Powertrax LSD as I recall...

    Most likely, when Toyota have to chase the epa numbers.
