Man I'm about over my Cali transplant neighbors. I found a random half eaten apple in my yard and couldn't figure out where it came from until now. Animals got into their trash because they haven't bothered taking it to the curb. They have left bags of trash out for so long that plants grew up around it. We have weekly trash pickup. The dog crate has been there for months now too.




Johns bed in my yard doesn't look great but at least it doesn't attract animals. I need to buy some land and build.

 

Oh, yeah, those neighbors. Yeah, we had to evict 'em from Cali because they were bringing the whole place down.

 

Go shit on their driveway, make em feel at home.

It’s too bad they don’t have pig farms that take away your food trash anymore. You used to have to separate it around here and put it under a heavy iron lid in the ground for local pickup.

Before my time though.

 

They made it clear to us they moved here to fit in better with our state politics. Made fun of some other neighbor for wearing a mask. I don't give a damn who my neighbor votes for. Just pick up your trash. Take care of your house.Their entire property looks like shit. After the leaves fell in November they just left them.

 

Do you have a HOA? Maybe call the city sanitation dept? If all else fails follow Bee’s advice.

 

I say put it out for them and leave a note, stating the pick up daze, and that there isn’t a garage side pickup service

 

I sent him a text message instead. Told him animals got into his trash and carried it into my yard. I'm hoping they will get the hint that they should do better. Her mom came to visit last year and was out in their yard/flowerbed pulling weeds and trying to make it look better. I was hoping that would embarrass them enough to act but it didn't.

 

Yeah, for what it's worth, indirect communication isn't gonna prompt change.

 

Yeah @FirstGenVol you gotta make an example out of them. Set their garbage on fire in their driveway. But don't do it too close to the house or trees, etc. Do it around midnight and ding-ding-ditch em. Then when they come outside, blast em with the water hose, on "accident", while you rush over to put out the fire. Because you're a good neighbor.

 

Pull garbage into lawn. Step back 10yards. Run full speed and relive high school glory days as a star middle line backer and that tight end just sat in the zone and caught a ball. Wear all black.

 

Hide their trashcan on their roof.

 

And get covered in garbage? No thanks

Homeownership pride doesn’t exist in CA. Probably one of my biggest pet peeves about this place. With the weather we have, your yearly property maintenance is a 2hr power washing of your stucco. Can’t even do that; gotta go to happy hour instead

I mean, a lot of that is both user input and tool headweight. Form and strike on that first thing was bullshit, and that hammer had 50% (or more) less weight at the head.

I've never done concrete slab stuff before, anyone know the purpose of inserting the wire in the final thing.

 

Buy land outside Chatt. I think that's ultimately what we're gonna do. Not that there's anything wrong w/Knox, but at least Chatt has lots of land in cool places, a city that's not overblown but also has cool shit and good food, and the eternally-free bluegrass festival that kicks ass. @abcinv is headed up that way also, it sounded like they may be building soon? I'm ready to move on from the A. Gonna take us a few more years to get the kids thru school, but we'll probably start inital steps of lining things up soon.
