The plug shown looks like its traveling along the same route as the license plate light wiring (the sheathed wire on the left). Any idea what this plugged wire with cut red and white wires is for?

    TIA!

    Gotcha. Thanks.

I'm assuming the red and white wires shouldn't be cut?

Is this OEM wiring or aftermarket?
