I was quoted 3200 for ppf for the front and 650 for ceramic over the ppf and the rest of the truck. I almost did it but had a hard time pulling the 4k trigger.

Asked a shop up in DFW/DTX that has Carbon fiber satin wrap and they quoted me 700 for just the hood. Its expensive but paying someone to do it right is probably worth it on a brand new vehicle.

Damn man at that price I'd be all over it. I was quoted almost three times that when my truck was new. That's why I had hesitation haha

Man I did PPF on the front of my wife’s 4runner and it was about 2500 and honestly wish I had just did all ceramic coating. Even with the PPF we have had some rock chips that have gone through. Plus it’s only good for about 10-12 years and it’s basically served its purpose at that point. I’d go ceramic coating and call it a day. Won’t do much for rock chips but it’s easier to just use a pain correction pen to fix those for way cheaper.

I had a dent pulled yesterday, and the guys said it was good I didn't have a ceramic coat since they make it very hard to pull. The dent was behind passenger door when some idiot (me) lost his balance and banged into it with the corner of a wooden box. The dent guy did a great job and I can't tell. Best thing is that I have my first dent out of the way.

You didn't select the correct option when you ordered it (it is the second item on the drop down). For the Crew Max with the 6.5 ft bed there is another bracket that is shipped that is oriented correctly for you model. It's stamped with the number 3TCMLB. The instruction list as a note on the top of the third page

    My invoice:
    Screen Shot 2024-03-05 at 8.13.29 PM.png

They simply sent the wrong bracket. A few months later, they eventually updated the design and sent the right one. I suspect they later updated the instructions.

Anyways, this has been on my truck for over 6 months, and this was a really dumb post.

That is inexpensive for a truck. I paid 2k for my wife's mini cooper countryman. Place I went has cars shipped in from all over so it was a premium place but I imagine the truck would be closer to 3k. Didn't even ask. Mini is black and well, it's a truck.

Honestly I’m not sure. My Uncle did it for me. I know it’s supposed to last about 5 years. It’s normally about $2k for what he did but gave me a family discount.

The shop is in a smaller town and he is a bit limited in what he can charge (he told me) from the bigger cities. I’m not going to complain. He is also new at owning this shop and still trying to get his name out there.

Installed this Diamondback HD. Picked it up for $1,200 from their outlet. Think my son loves it as much as me.

Swapped to OEM A pillar panels for a cleaner install of my tweeters. Didn’t like that they stood out after a while. Also finished wiring the accent lighting in the doors that came on higher trims (don’t have any night pictures but whatevs).

Went the Veepeak/Carista route. No more fake engine noise or ridiculous seat belt beeping. Those 2 were the most important. Super easy connecting, worked flawlessly

Went in for service this morning to get transmission recall and 2nd key fob taken care of. Asked service guy to have them delete the fake exhaust sound and he had no idea what I was talking about but said he would pass it along to techs.

Picked up truck about 1.5 hours later. Everything thing done but he said they can't do the fake exhaust delete there.
