I have a '21 TRD 4x4 Tundra - stock, and am wanting to put on a set of BGF KO2 275/70/R18's on it. From what I can tell, that might be a little bigger than can fit without a little bit of trimming.

The question being, how much trimming and where would i need to do in order to be able to fit those tires on my truck?

Thx in advance. Sort of all new to this and still working on making sense of all of this.

    Alot of them
BFG's are notorious for balancing issues and they are also stone magnets. I would look at a different tire.

Do you have a suggestion? I'm not concerned about serious mud or winter performance, but sidewall strength is one of my primary concerns.

2.5 gens fit up to 34 inch tall tires on stock wheels no issues. 285/70-18, 295/70-18 fit with no lift. 275/70-18 fit fine too, I have run those myself on a stock truck.

I also agree there are better choices out there than BFG. Installing larger tires on a tundra (18 inch rims) generally means moving to E load, so anything you put on will be significantly more HD than the stock P rated tires.

Much of what you might install will depend on your use, tire look, your budget or other things important to you such as tread warranty. I suggest you decide on the tire size you want, if its 275/70s then go to discounttire.com and tirerack.com, search tires in that size and you will see available choices so you can easily compare brands, mileage warranty, tread, cost, etc.

LT275/70R18 should fit with zero issue. I ran that size for a while. The ONLY rubbing I ever had was if they only inflated the tires to 30 psi and the tire would squirm more on a full lock turn, it would gently graze the skid plate. At correct inflation (~42 psi) for the LT rated tire, it never touched anything.
