Hey everyone I am currently in the market to get an exhaust system on this 3.4L tt any suggestions? Currently looking at the AFE Vulcan series or the Magnaflow street series.

Look at dirty deeds or carven. I think the magnaflo overland is my personal fav. But I need to get more mods before exhaust.

thanks for the recommendations. carven sounds mean but I don't want it too loud for camping reasons. I have the cold air intakes and I'm getting the hot charge pipes (AFE power). I'll check out dirty deeds

I would suggest Dirty Deeds. You can call talk to Keith. Ask any questions. He will answer and give recommendations.
I talked to him and ended up getting one of his exhaust systems.
I told him wanted it to sound like the Magna Flow system I had on my Mazda.
    Hope this helps.

Stillen. They also make TRU-Control, a tuning piggyback that only requires 2 connections under the hood and are working on a sweet dual intake setup. Full exhaust that comes with stainless or black tip. None of them alone are going to give a measurable power gain just more noise, maybe 5-10 hp at a certain rpm...stock is actually decent flow wise. Happy shopping. If sound is what you're after, You Tube can give you an idea of each one vs. stock.

    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
Have you taken a look at the TRD axle back exhaust kit for the Tundra? It just deletes the resonator after the muffler and adds a stylish duel tip. Gives the truck a nice purr without being annoying plus the MSRP is $390 on Toyota's website.

I certainly appreciate the craftsmanship of the tig welded offering, but I personally can't stand the sound. The only exhaust I've heard clips of that doesn't make the truck sound like a 1990 Civic is that Flowmaster.

Admittedly, I've only heard clips and never heard them in person, but it's a TT V6. There's nothing unique about it that's going to make it sound hugely different than any other TT V6 exhaust, which is generally pretty bad.

If someone could make a high-clearance, lightweight exhaust that was more quiet than stock, that's the one I'd go with!

I have always loved performance exhausts, the best sounding one I had was likely the 350 Hemi with a borla, at least that I owned. my 4.7 2001 TRD tundra sounded good with a borla as well.

I just cant with these new tundras, the 3.4 , I mean I just cant do it, it just sounds like a fart can ricer from the ones I have heard. At least from the clips here, that flow master seems like the best sounding.

I would want quieter if anything.

just curious though, with this boosted motor, that guy said "most are losing torque" etc, do any of these companies back their shit up with a dyno or is all this just hearsay?

I have a magnaflo exhaust and Doug Thorley headers on my GX470. That 4.7 V8 sounds mean with an exhaust!

The Tundra, like the new Raptor just isn't a good candidate for an aftermarket exhaust. Especially if they're causing a loss of torque!

I'd love to see some dynos though!
