2011 with 5.7. I want to get a little more sound from the exhaust. What are guys doing for that? Replace just the muffler, with a dual in & single out muffler or doing a dual cat-back? I'm not really looking for performance, Just a bit more of an exhaust tone.

If you want actual performance improvement contact @dirtydeeds . He will have several options and you can get quiet, medium or loud versions depending on your likes.

Lots of options to choose from depending on what sound/how loud you want it. I had a Flowmaster Delta 50 which was pretty quiet with a nice mellow tone. Went to a Spintech that sounded better and had better low end power; it was quieter everywhere except 1600-2000 rpm. Only ran that for a couple of months before switching to a Flowmaster Pro laminar flow muffler.

You can get an entire cat back exhaust or just have a local muffler shop weld in a new muffler. I’ve always gone with just the new muffler as it’s a little less expensive and let’s me play around a little more. Plus, it’s more money kept local. The shop stitched in all but the last muffler for me.

Agreed. If you're not worried about performance and just sound its much cheaper to just swap out the muffler. You can find various sound clips on-line and I think there may even be a thread on this site with peoples sound bites of their various set ups. Sounds doesn't always translate well on video, but it'll help

Went with a Flowmaster 10 series with dual in and dual outlets. I fabbed up everything. Did dual side exits with 4” tips. It sounds awesome, but is loud at all speeds. Lol!

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I looked around his site. Best option seems like the weld in muffler for ~$200. I don't want loud. Just want a little rumble.

Call him. When he, himself, says "give me a call", he's not joking. It's not a sales pitch. He'll brainstorm and help you come to an informed decision. The sale is the next step.

He helped me decide on gears and I didn't even know he sold them until after I purchased elsewhere. If it goes to voicemail, leave a message. He absolutely calls back. It took me a long time to realize all of this, so do yourself a favor and call him.

Flowmaster super 50 is what you want. Nice growl not loud, no drone at highway speeds and less than $200 for the muffler. Have a shop swap it out and you're done. You can find videos online.

Did you do the dual in and single out, or the dual in and dual out?

The factory setup is a dual in single out. I decided to add a Y connector to a single 3" out so I could use a single in single out muffler for a couple of reasons, mostly because it made it easier for me if I wanted to switch out the muffler later (which I did).
