Hi Everyone -- first post here and looking forward to getting a 3rd Gen Tundra so I can post about that too! But at this point I'm working with a few dealers on closing a deal. I put an Undercover tri-fold tonneau cover on my 2nd gen Tundra about 3 years ago. Does that make any difference at all on a trade-in price? I'd rather not take it off but if won't affect trade-in, I'll list it on Craigslist or FB.

Thanks for your comments and your welcome. I’ve already learned a lot about the gen 3 just from reading past posts (along with a few YouTube reviews).

If all you have is a bed cover, leave it and mention that in the deal for an easy extra $500 for trade.

Be sure to buy new and wait for the waste gate or main bearing issue. Get the power train warranty.

You get zero dollars for aftermarket parts generally. It’s best to pull them off and sell them separately to maximize your personal gain.

Second this. Even if it takes you some time to resell you get more $ out of the parts than you would from a trade in value. Then you can use the extra money you made to justify buying new parts for your new rig.
