I’m sure there is plenty of posts about what setting the 5100 needs to be on to be level. I just can’t find them. I’m putting on 275/70r18 Cooper rugged trek next week. Need to install my 5100’s, what setting has everyone used to be as close to level?

    Hey Tommy,

There are many threads and posts on the subject. This should help -
    https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=what+setting+for+level+5100s+tundras.com

The consensus is the top clip or the middle clip to achieve level height. Not every truck is the same. YMMV.

My neighbor has his on the top setting and it measures level at the top of the wheel well however by eye it looks a little nose high, just the line of the hood i guess. I have mine on the center setting and i like the looks, raised it about an 1 1/2". Also need to consider if you carry a load the rear will squat some. Center for me.

@brus17 I forgot to mention I have airbags, I pull out camper quite often during the camping season. You gotta leave about 5psi of air in them at all times anyways. So I could always air them a little bit lol and level it that way if I go to the top setting.

Not the best pic but if I trailer or have weight in bed the truck sits level. This works for me anyway.

I set my 5100s at the top setting and all four wheels measure within 1/4 inch of each other. Truck is stone cold level by measurements, but as @brus17 pointed out, visually the truck looks slightly nose high. The roof line of the Tundra dont help (as another member pointed out to me) For visual reasons, I would go middle setting.

I did the lift just up front, saved the factory setting/shocks and could not be happier!

I ended up going with the top setting, love the way the truck came out. I have air bags so if I feel it’s a little high in the front I can raise the bed.

Looks a tad high in the front but I’m digging it

I have my 5100s on the middle setting with a CB shim on each side. Plus it’s a 2WD. The nose is slightly down but not like stock. I like it. Plus I tow my bass boat. The wheels are 18” Method 312 with BFG KO2 275/70/18. I think I’m gonna go up to a 295/70/18 soon.
