Looking for helping narrowing down my options to find a suitable combination for weight/distribution as well as features.
Looking for a tonneau cover, low profile cross bars able to hold a 4 person RTT ikamper skycamp 3.0 as an example.

I think retrax is out of the question due to the weigh restriction

RTT will not always be on vehicle

But narrowed it down to a diamondback+bars combo
    Or a Peragon+Billie bars combo

If you need to open the cover while the bed is loaded, you can't with the Peragon. Its a good idea for a cover but poorly executed. Search them on the forum and you will see the threads where folks have had fitment issues as well.

Diamondback is pretty bulletproof. If you plan to keep the truck a bit, they are probably worth the investment for your needs.

Anyone have experience with a retraxpro MX and using the factory rails for a crossbar mount?
Billie bars says it will work, that way they truck is supporting the weight vs the cover

What TexasTacoma713 said. Currently I am planning a RetraxPro XR with an UptopOverland Full Height TRUSS Rack that integrates with the rails. That seems to be the best combination while still utilizing the bed and rear drop window when camping. And you can add some Total Chaos Bed stiffeners just in case for the added weight. RTT should be no problem on that rack combo.

    Holy Taj Majal Batman!

Since I tow my tiny house behind me I am admittedly clueless about RTT's, but I had no idea there were units big enough for 4 people!
