I’m going to install a matte screen protector this week but I’m not sure if mine has a factory screen protector on it or not. How can I tell? I have tried picking at the corners with my finger nails and I get nothing, but I don’t want to get too crazy with it. To me it seems like there isn’t anything there. I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks

The factory protector is just for shipping to the dealership. The dealership is suppose to take it off when they do their pre-delivery prep work. It's likely yours was removed then.

Mine had a factory screen protector on it and the only way I could tell was by sitting in the passenger seat and looking at the top right corner, there was an extremely small cutout there. every other side was matched perfectly. I don't know if this was missed in pre-delivery prep or if this was underneath the "shipping cover" if there was such a thing.

    EDIT: Spelling is hard

I bought a glass screen protector from Amazon. It's listed for a 2022-2025 Tundra screen protector Tundra/Sequoia 3rd Gen 14 inch touchscreen. BSTW is the company offering this protector. I fooled with it a bit but it's really clear like it's not even on the screen with no bubbles or any issues. $17.87 from Amazon

when i bought my truck new, it had the factor protector on it, but it also had a white tab/sticker in the corner for you to pull down from it to remove it with ease and distinguished that there was a protector on it with that little white tab.

Amazon one, tempered glass, installs like a charm. Have that on mine, zero bubbles and easy application.

    Spigen!
*Tip - Stick a small piece of tape on any corner of the screen and slowly peel it back. If the factory shipping protector is on there it will come right up.

+1 for the tape in the corner to see if one peels off with the tape

Just minor stuff. For example, Undercover bed cover, Tufskinz custom door sill protectors, and TRD air filters.
I bought the same one from this company and just removed it, giving them a bad write up. Just thought I’d let you know. It was great until my wife put her sunglasses on. It was hard to view and showed rainbow colors across the screen, swirls, etc. I tried my prescription sunglasses and got pretty much the same thing. If you wear sunglasses, I recommend you check it before installing.

Have you looked at the screen with sunglasses on? We could not use our sunglasses without rainbows across the screen making it difficult to see the screen on the one we got from BSTW.

That’s because you’re wearing Polarized glasses. The screen protector is polarized to eliminate glare and when viewed thru a second polarized lens the two lenses basically fight each other. (because the polarizing lines don’t line up ) You’ll get the same thing looking at other polarized things with them, like an led computer monitor or flat panel Tv screen. Some types of window film are also polarized.
Hold her glasses in front of your eyes and slowly rotate them while looking at anything else polarized. You’ll see what I mean. Enjoy those glasses outside.

There are some screen protectors that adjust for sunglasses. While I don’t need them when I drive, my wife has macular degeneration and light sensitive eyes so she wears sunglasses when it’s bright outside.
