    Hi everyone,
A few years ago, I sank in some mud while launching my boat. The water got to about as high as the amp under the passenger seat. I haven't had a stereo since, but have a used amplifier on the way.
I'm actually looking to find out what wiring connections are under the carpet. I dried the truck out as through as possible without removing all the floor carpeting.
If there are only a couple connections under the carpet, I'd rather lift it and check the connector pins for any corrosion, rather than removing all the carpet. Any advice or Information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Tim
    UPDATE:
Replaced my stereo amplifier under my passenger seat and now I finally have my stereo back and my hands free again. Thank you everyone for your input. I really appreciate it.

    Tim

Did you have your rear differential vent relocated before the water exposure? Or at least flush it out afterwards?

I replaced my carpet and I don't recall any wiring underneath. The wiring runs in the channels underneath the door openings. Good luck.

I had the carpet out of my 2008 DC from the rear wall almost to the front seats and there were no wires. I have also fished around under the front passenger carpet and didn't see anything. There is a wire bundle along the ride side of the seat in the track cover by the plastic track. There is probably one in the driver's side too, but I don't remember any connectors. Insulated wire without connectors shouldn't give you any problems although it would be good to open those side tracks up if you haven't. The lowest connector I can think of is in the picture of my back seat area (driver's side).... a yellow connector not too far up from the floor.

Thank you. That's great information to know.
I have checked under some carpeting and it's seems that the water had no ill effects. I did dry the truck out promptly.
I figured it was my amp under the passenger seat that got damaged. I bought a used one from a part out and now everything is working in my truck perfectly. I've been without my stereo and hands free for 3+ years. Sure is nice to have it back working.
Thank you again for your reply.
    Cheers
