I recently purchased new Headlights for my 2016 Tundra SR5 that are like OEM with an LED DRL but my truck didn't come with DRL lights so I am missing the connector to plug in the LED DRL. I purchased a wire harness from HLR that was supposed to work connect my DRL, however it only has one wire. Not sure how a light is supposed to work with one wire? Anyway, the connector I have that goes to the DRL is 3 wires. I was going to try and use the connector I purchased from HLR and just add the other two wires. Taking one from my turn signals that powered the amber DRL that was on all the time but I am not sure what the third wire is for on the new headlight?
I was hoping to find a harness that will work on this 3 wire connector so I don't have to splice anything from the factory wiring. If I could just find a male connector with a 3 wire pigtail I could figure out how to get it to work. But I do want to make sure I don't need a relay to power these, that I can just tap into the existing wires to make this work.
I am attaching photos to show what I am working with. The 3 pin female is shown with black red and orange. Does anyone have any idea what the third wire is for? Is it for a turn signal?
Any info would be great, I have searched high and low and have not found any answers as everyone seems to be getting the LED headlight version which I didn't want for two reasons. First I have the Morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 LED bulbs that are fantastic and not cheap. Second, there is no way to replace the light on the led head light without replacing the whole unit.

IHacker was able to point me in the right direction. All I need to do is ground the wire harness I got from Headlight Revolution. The harness was $20.

Changed the front to a 2020
Could you show a picture of what wire you had to ground? I bought the harness from headlight revolution with a single wire and fuse but can't figure out how to get the drl strip to work. Thank you

I just bought the same headlights you installed. Can you shed some light on what wire you grounded? Did you find out why the three wires for the led drls?

    I'd recommend you contact @iHacker
He is a great guy, even if you didn't buy his harness.
There have been a few threads with Headlight Revolution adapter issues with headlight harnesses.
Another reason I'd never recommend them, as well as their cheap, thin easily breaking contact, bulbs..
