Easy peasy. Not gonna lie that was the easiest fog or head lamp housing install on any car or truck I've ever done in my life. Litteraly pop in, plug in and go.
In fact it was so easy I thought I was overlooking a step so I ended up watching the TRQ install video before going and doing it. I was still sort of in disbelief that it was literally pushing in pop click plug turn on. I love old Toyotas so so so much 0229241156.jpg 0229241158.jpg

Got to put the billy's to work today. A mile of traffic behind a crew setting up cones, so i cut in line, and once passed the bridge hopped onto an atv trail off the shoulder & rolled past everyone & not have to worry about oncoming. Newer frontier bug company truck and a couple HD's followed & frontier guy couldnt hang @ 20mph. I even floated over a couple 2" driveways & didnt shuffle my groceries. Polo loved it, its a utv trail, and fairly smooth, but your going over a bit of dirt up & down rock layers. No front swaybar was even better on the off camber stuff. But that was slower.

I liked the pizza in NYC. Someday, when I reach my weight goals, I'm going on a food vacation. First stop is Vegas. My IG feed is bombarded with amazing looking foodfrom Vegas. Next is to try all the big pizzas styles. Detroit, Chicago, NY, etc

Finished my dual battery setup. Not what I did to my Tundra today, but more so what I did to my Tundra for a couple of hours each day for the past week lol. Anywho, I moved the power steering reservoir over and drilled in a battery tray. Fabbed up(AKA took an angle grinder and cut some shit) a small little bracket that mounts my power steering to the battery tray. Wired my starting and secondary battery together using an isolator that swaps over when the ignition is turned to ON, and BOOM I can now run lighting, a charging station, and whatever else I need in the back while I am camping. Total Cost not including battery: $94.
    IMG_1625.jpg IMG_1624.jpg IMG_1626.jpg
Now to move over some of my connections from my starting battery to secondary, and organize my other wiring. Oh and also clean the mud splatter out of my engine bay.

I looked over the entire collection. So many memories, so many cars I tried to buy one of but never found a good enough example.
Funny, but the closer I get to the death end of lifespan, the less I want to actually own many of those.
Used to be I like it/it's interesting I must own one. Now it's oh, fun memory or interesting vehicle but I don't want to caretake it.
Capable, makes my life simple, diverse ability - they seem to be increasing in importance.

Do you have any pic's of the battery bracket you built? I have been eyeing that same spot trying to visualize how to build a bracket to hold a battery.

I have nearly the same simple dual battery setup in my Land Cruiser, although I did run a dedicated ground between both batteries.
    Dual Bat Wire.png
The isolator solenoid works great with no complicated DC-DC chargers to fail. Plus you can self jumpstart if you run an additional switched (+) from the house battery to the solenoid

    Not bad.

    Screenshot_20240301_074448_Weather.jpg

It actually snowed in Amarillo yesterday, which is weird considering it was 80 on Tuesday with 40 mph winds. Also, the panhandle had a huge fire on Tuesday. Something like 1,000,000 plus acres burnt up. An entire town is gone. Bad times.

It should. The secondary battery is only charged when the car is running, or in other words when the alternator is running and charging my starting battery.
I didn’t build my battery bracket/tray. It came from Amazon and was like $15. The new bracket for holding my power steering though, that I did “fabricate.” Just took some of my scrap metal, cut out a 1” wide, however long piece. Then took it to the Vice, banged on it until it looked to be about a 90 degree angle then cut it once more to fit into the small gap left in my battery tray. Bolted it together with the old reservoir and wallah.
    IMG_1632.png
*also I did go back and remake another bracket, the one in that pic was just a mock-up. There’s a nicer one on there now thats actually straight :)
