    Hello,
I was looking to see if some of you guys have experience changing the speakers on a second gen tundra. I have stock speakers with an aftermarket radio from Amazon. Hoping to find a good replacement that is mostly plug and play. I'm not worried if I have to do some wiring, but I don't want to run the speakers through an amp. I was looking at the Kenwood KFC-XP6902C for the fronts. It has the door and dash speakers. I have done minimal research on it and don't know how easy it is to install. Still not sure what to use for the rear door speakers. Any recommendations or photos of your setup would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, I don't know if it matters, but I have a 2013 Double Cab. I can also share the head unit that I have, but its some 300-400 dollar one from Amazon. I bought it more for the looks than the performance, but it did help my stock speakers with sound quality.

I just went to crutchfield to be honest - we have a similar vehicle. The fronts can accept 6x9 standard but w/ adapters can take 6.5" rounds (I went with this because i feel their sound is better than an oval but thats just me). Crutchfield will have the adapters for you for free to mount them easy peezy.

Just note, that if you want to change the tweeters - you will have to splice the wiring - because the way its wired right now - its Amp/headunit -> wire to tweeters -> this wire then goes toward the front door speaker. The rears are just a solo speaker. This is alllllll assuming you dont have the JBL system.

I ended up going with some entry level Focals on crutchfield right now. Theyre being delivered today actually!
