I have an SR 2023 Tundra, so no flares from the factory. I changed out the hideous steel wheels and tires for some FN Wheels BFDs. Now I need some fender flares (and mud-flaps, but that’s a different thread). Does anybody run the rough country sport flaps? It looks like they mount over the top of the factory existing flares, which I don’t have. I could get the TRD pros, but those also mount over top of the normal flares.

If anybody knows of any other flares they would recommend, please do so. I’m trying to avoid the fake bolt on look.

You won’t have any of the clip holes for the various factory flares. Best bet is to check the rough country mounting locations and compare.

I’ll call rough country on Monday, hopefully someone can tell me for sure what will fit or not.

Understood. So the only option will be aftermarket?

    Lots of stuff!
You could make the TRD Pro flares work but it would require a bit of work to create some mounting points and using some VBH tape. The big advantage is you could wire in the lights and that would be a first for an SR I think!

The rough county flares might work but they might be more along the lines of sticking them over your stock flares so again, you would have to do some work to make them fit.

Either way, you will probably need to make some holes to mount to flares on the inside of the fender lip. It might be that the fender liner is secured to holes that you can use for flares.

I have a set of black flares sitting in a box that came off mine when I put the TRD Pro flares on, if only you were closer!

Rough country flares fit gen 3 SR without any modification.
