What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

I had an AutoZone coil pack. It failed like after a year, but they warranteed it.

Been ordering from Rockauto for a number of years for several cars and only this year have I had an issue. For some reason, I received a box full of conduit elbows instead of the brake pads I ordered. I contacted them and they refunded me right away so no problem. LOL

 

Did you talk to a human about it or were you chatting with a bot?

We also did the water pump, timing belt, and radiator on the Sequoia. Nice little Sunday.

 

I keep a set of these (Swedish pipe wrench) around for alignment type stuff.

They were about $80 when I bought them a few years ago. The only snap on tool I own but when googling to get this picture I see they sell them at harbor freight now too for a much cheaper price.

 

Do those open wide enough for the inner tie rods?
What does the long bar under the handle do?

 

You spin that silver nut to adjust the opening width of them. I have used them on inner tie rods on a RZR but not on our trucks but I would say they probably would. They come in 4 different sizes so I'm sure one of them would fit.

Sorry if I'm late, but yes, you are correct. Inner tie rods have a washer that's bent over in 2 spots to act as a fail safe.

 

Went to the desert this weekend. Weather was perfect! Couple dogs came to check out my rig, haha

I gotta say these new Archive Garage leafsprings and bump stops feel amazing. I figure the fact that I do some offroading, had 20+ year stock springs and a heavier camper shell. Getting the new leafs and bumps feels like I just float over the bumps now. Definitely worth it!

 

Lil cockroach just chillin down there taking a dirt nap. Finally, found something that kills cockroaches.

Thats a trail called Sandstone Canyon in Anza Borrego. Beautiful wash that turns into some slot canyons you can drive into. Pretty amazing place and had it mostly to myself. On my way out Saturday, I saw tons of vehicles on their way in. Definitely camping season in the deserts now
