The most ridiculous thing is zero thift stores will take baby stuff. I can’t even give the stuff away for free on Craigslist/OfferUp. Clothes, books, toys.. you name it. But yet, if I bring it to a baby consignment event that happens twice a year people will buy it.

I get it - germs and all but nothing a little white vinegar can’t solve. I’ve come to accept people are weird about baby stuff and it kinda needs to be on their terms. Or maybe people aren’t having babies anymore?

Really? That is crazy. Most of our baby stuff got handed down which was nice, and actually most of their current clothes are from thrift stores because my mom loves going to them(she’s the one that’s super picky about where she shops and supports(profit vs non))
This year we tried something new with all the kids excess toys, put them in a bag under the Xmas tree and told them Santa was going to take them to other kids in need, they weren’t to happy about it but got over it.

 

Our last Goodwill haul was a lot of the bulky Hotwheels tracks… that one hurt my wallet and soul a bit, but he’s got way too many of them even after clearing the others out. It’s nice having space for his other shit though.

Most of our baby stuff is gently used items we've bought or been given. I'm not paying $35 for a shirt they'll wear a couple times as a 2 year old

 

Just swapped out our 2nd Gen Sequoia headlights (2013) for the form lighting headlights.

Does anyone need Sequoia headlights and headlight washers?

I also have the adapter harnesses that came with the lights if anyone needs them. I'm not sure what it is called, but it reduces multiple plugs down to one big plug.

 

We have a second-hand kids' clothing store here that will apparently buy clothes. They also have a few toys and games. My wife has also bought a lot of stuff on Marketplace so I'm hoping she'll be able to sell it there too when the time comes. Or find the next suckers having kids and pawn it off on them.

 

I have free chrome parts for a 2018 Tundra Limited, pick-up only. Parts include chrome grille/hood, side view mirrors, door handles. I'm located in North Lake Tahoe area.

In my community we have a resale business named Once Upon A Child that buys about anything related to children of all ages provided the items are in decent shape for resale. Seems to be a very successful business model, but I don't know if they have taken it nationwide yet.

 

That's the name of the store that we have too.

Alright grabbed some pics. I have a RetraxProXR for a 2.5 Tundra canister only. Caveat, there is some minor fubar-ness on the passenger side of the canister. I got a replacement under retrax warranty. When I ask what to do with the old canister, they said "Toss it!". Not very heavy, would prefer local pickup rather than shipping. Looking to help another Tundra brother/sister that may have a dinged up canister due to a "Whoops" and looking to replace.

She's minty minus the plastic you see in the pics. You could swap your good plastic onto it and your $$.
