Trying to help my brother-in-law, his Reg is up end of month, only has 5 "readys" and needs 6, shows no codes, has driven it hundreds of miles, and can't get it inspected. Don't know what to do! Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by drive cycle, but we took it out and did 0 to 45 slow to a stop 0 to 55 came to a stop that kind of a thing if that's what you meant. It doesn't show any codes, but needs six ready, only five present

    Two questions:

Did he recently clear codes for some reason? (If yes, you really shoulda told us the reason)

Has he recently done any maintenance, anything that would've kept a battery cable off for more than 10 minutes? (If yes, you really shoulda let us know what)

    Imma keep it stock
Evap and Catalyst take the longest to set readiness. Like Evap has to be at 1/2 - 2/3 tank to even read. That kind of thing. Cat requires a few cold starts and a few hot starts.
