I have done some digging on this and from what I’ve determined, when it comes to the ease of disabling the DRL, it depends on the trim level and original delivery location of the truck. I have a 2017 Limited that started life originally in Jersey but is now in Florida. I can flip my headlight switch to off and the daytime running lights will remain on. No option for disabling on the radio, or Carista app, which I think newer models can do. I searched for the Drl fuse in the fuse box and there isn’t one there. The only other option I’ve found is to cut a wire under the dash, which I’d rather not do.
Not wanting to start a conversation about safety, legality, etc.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to disable daytime running lights, or at least have the ability to turn them off and on as you please?

When I installed Morimoto headlights on my 2014, they recommended the dlr be disabled. I went ahead and swapped out the relay. It's located down below the steering wheel on the left side. Took about 15 minutes.
    The relay was about $65.
