Sorry not sorry, you know what to expect from the opinionated assdog by now. :D
Don't feel obligated to justify any purchases to an assdog; we be hate breeders.

    Yes sir, you and Casey.

Yeah, new parts are gonna be bought. Just not sure what yet. T2S: PE will probably let me know. Hell, @JakeJake is probably gonna get a good part of it to build some armor.

It's bittersweet really. If another 1st gen shows up in decent condition I'll consider it. Just something to putt around in, no stupid shit this time. Bad thing is, mint 1st gens are around $8-10k. For a 30 year old taurus.

Cool. 72-73mph typical “don’t get a ticket speed” around 3k RPM seems decent.

Think prob 85mph is around 3k rpm or atleast that’s what I average with 4.56 on 33’s

@Jack McCarthy - sold. $1500. Selling tractor dealership is like 20 minutes from the tractor location. Probably well serviced. alas.

I have been happy with 4.56.
Sometimes I wish I went with 4.88 for the even-lower-end torque.
But then I remember I already get like 12-14mpg on a good day, and everywhere I want to be is several hours from where I be.

I do/did it going up a grade or windey switch backs just to hold the gear longer.
Headed back from the night run I had cruise control on, and usually it down shifts and holds like it’s drunk, it was super sweet going up this hill, I could feel the pedal dip down but it just held the gear and kept going! I think it did downshift on another small hill but quickly upshifted mid way thru the hill.

Seen today while taking a jaunt off the island. 1GT Limited AC with gold trim? It was plated, not painted. Haven’t seen this before.
