Hi, I have a problem with my 2005 Tundra with 350k on it now. I was going into 4 wheel drive but it seems to be stuck in 4WD now.

The 4HI and 4LO lights are blinking on the dash and buttons on under the radio. Tried holding it in neutral, reverse, etc like I saw some posts here suggesting. No luck.

It feels like 4wd is engaged but I can't get out of it.

    Let me ask this:

Have you done any searching on this forum before posting? Because there are a ton of threads on this exact or near-same topic with a shitload of solutions, and we’d really be doing you a disservice and wasting our time regurgitating all the info in those threads.

And if the answer to that is “yes, I searched”, have you checked your actuator vent tubes or cap contacts, as is explained in many of those threads, and videos provided on how to do that?

I used the search feature for "4wd light stuck" etc but didn't see much with the search function

Are you on loose gravel, snow or dirt? Your 4wd might be bounded up and needs to slip a bit to let go.

Granted I had an 08 do this and I would put in neutral shift into 4lo then drive then back in neutral put in 4hi then drive then back in neutral and into drive and it would work
