Does anyone know how adding the OEM 3" lift kit will impact the overall GVWR on the 2023 Tundra Limited with a 6'5" bed? I'm rated now at 1390#.

    Thanks ~ Kurt

Yeah it will remain the same unless the company that is providing the upgrade has certification to modify the GVWR

Thanks!.... A follow-up question. Reading through the forums a while back(maybe it was youtube) I read/watched something that suggested moving the Bilstein Shocks up from what was in the OEM Kit(think it was 1.5") to 2.5" shocks. Would that be something that would impact GVWR? Sorry, I am new to a lot of this stuff. Like not sure how they come up with the overall GVWR on a vehicle. My Chevy 2500HD has 1000# more payload and there doesnt seem to be much of a difference other than engine power, but undersides look similar... of course I dont really know what I am looking at :).

Nothing you can do will change it. It is what it is.

Something to note, while a lift kit will not impact the GVWR, payload, etc.....the larger (heavier) tire and wheel setup you will likely install does. Any additional weight added from bigger tires (amount over what the stock tires would weigh) , winches, heavy bumpers, etc reduce payload, GVWR.

Exactly... Thanks for that input... I was trying to total up all the parts and got to thinking that maybe a heavier suspension would up the GVWR but apparently not. the tires and rims add an extra 18# per tire. But I am thinking that when I get it all done I can drive up to the Dump and just put the truck on their scales to see where I am as it gives a total GVWR in the Door Jam. I am estimating that I will be over by 500# when all is said and done. There is no way all these Tacomas and Tundras built for off road are under their GVWR. I love the setups but I'm trying to stay light and some of those setups have a ton of shit on them.... I'm going to be over GWVR so there is no way they are not.

    Regards ~ Kurt
