Sure as soon as I get them installed tomorrow. I have to go get some things to mounted in place semi correctly. There is a 05 front clip on my 00, so the head lamps housing will need some bolts and zip ties that I shouldn't need

    Nice catch.

    Bingo.

Think clip part number is 4947-0C010 like $2.88 for set of two. Suggest swapping them when you do the pads as new will have more tension.

So is a second lower spring clip a known recommendation? Cause I think the OEM setup is one spring on top per caliper?

Where is this measurement 199 vs 231? Brake pad length?

    199mm is 7-something inches, 231 is 9-something?

all the rotors on RA are 319mm

I believe one clip is standard. I added lower clips to mine, I had an annoying metallic rattle I could hear when my windows are down and I tracked it down to the pin without the clip rattling.

Dual caliper springs are easily worth 10hp. Almost like having an invisible 'aint skeered' sticker.

Seems like it would result in slightly uneven pad wear without it and wondered why it wasn't designed to be there in the first place for only $2.88 more.

a clever ploy to make you change them more often. Big brakepad will stop at nothing to milk the dollars out of your wallet as fast as possible. It was an inside job.

You don't adjust that one. That's why it doesn't have any flat spots like a nut. I tried to adjust that with a pair of thin vice grips once upon a time.

You can only push the light out, not pull it in.

Agreed. I've posted a few shorts just to have a place to link into here. I turned off comment notifications very quickly. Like the post clearly says adding electric windows to an originally manual window car and these idiots went nuts on how I'm an idiot for spending $50 and 2 hours to convert my windows to push button. Another one where I posted the FJ Cruiser washer nozzle was littered with people trying to make fun of the small wipers on our trucks. Like WTF? Really? So don't read the comments and keep on. You'll be just fine.

On a side note, my wife tried tiktok once and posted a fried chick video. She had over 10,000 views, but gave up over people commenting on her country accent. I'm like, who cares what people think. I don't do tiktok but 10,000 views seems like a lot to me.

They key to happiness in life is to NGAF about what other people you don't even know think. I care what my mom thinks. I care what my wife thinks. I don't give a rat's ass what some joe blow off the street thinks.

Looks like it might need to be considered a standard part of the mod! Prepared for this when time comes.... noted that part seemed fragile when swapping in new housings using standard bulbs, and filed the clip retainer notch so clasp held better.
