Great big shout out to this forum and quite a few people that have offered knowledgeable help and given feedback, particularly @shifty. I'm getting a little better at finding existing how to's in the forum although it's still a bit confusing because there are so many threads on the same topics and not all of them are accurate, complete, or in agreement

So far I've changed out, upgraded, repaired, modified, etc:

    1" lift including
replaced my front coil over springs/shocks
    Rear shocks
    lower ball joints
Could NOT be more pleased with the ride and handling

    Numerous weatherstrips and clips

    Tailgate latches
    Driver door latch
Driver door window regulator, and motor
Climate control lighting - honestly, had not noticed this because they had each burned out over a period of time until I couldn't find the dang hazard light switch one night. What a difference at night now

Fixed rattling mirrors and rattling tailgate latch rods that had been annoying for quite some time

Replaced old stock worn out vinyl/plastic/? steering wheel that had a big lengthy split with a leather steering wheel from a sequoia in great shape. Really nice upgrade. And can also possibly upgrade to radio controls one day in the future

Very quickly resolved an issue with the wrong differential fluid after hassling with the shop for weeks. Ultimately had to tell them what the issue was thanks to this forum's help.

Fixed seatbelts that had not been fully retracting for over a decade

I'm sure i've missed a few things and I have quite a few things to still accomplish over the next few months.

I was ready to just relegate my truck to occasional hauling of dirt and building supplies and such. Just felt like it was getting old and worn out. And if I would've had to pay for all of this in the shop, it would've most certainly been cost prohibitive not to mention annoying because the job is often not done right the first time or at least to my standards

Now I've got the old reliable truck that I've loved for 18 years and over 306,000 miles that has NEVER put me down or once required adding oil, back in great shape where I once again trust it traveling anywhere in the US

could never have done all of this, or even thought of tackling it without the support of you guys

We've all been there, that's why we're here. I've owned my FGT for almost 20 years now. Originally found this site and this group looking for answers about carrier bearings. I've gained a ton of knowledge about how my truck works and how to keep it in great shape from here. I share when I can, but still enjoy learning from others experiences here.
