Hi everyone. I am having two issues with my 2023 Toyota Tundra multimedia/infotainment system and wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this or has a fix.

    1) The first issue is that when I leave the setting to recognize the wake word “Hey Toyota” on the system keeps coming on without using the wake word. In other words when I’m driving and talking with a passenger the unit beeps and asks “how can I help you”, but I definitely did not say “Hey Toyota”. It has become so annoying that it will literally get prompted 10 times in my 30 minute drive into work. My only option is to turn the wake word setting off to avoid this happening. I have brought the issue forward to my dealer and they have no idea how to fix it. Any advice?

    2) The multi media system does not recognize song and artist for my FM station. It does for Sirius radio, but not for my local FM stations. We own two other vehicles and the local FM stations do broadcast song and artist and they are displayed on those vehicles, but not on my new Toyota tundra. It seems like a small deal, but it is also frustrating. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Thanks in advance…

    Welcome from PA.
The hey toyota thing has happened to most of us but mine not enough to worry about, the local radio has to have the HD showing but I'm not sure about anything else on that part as I'm a Amazon music subscriber. You may have to change your view settings but I know in the Pittsburgh area most stations have HD then several sub channels too and those may not be and thus not listing the information your describing.
I'll take a look at mine today to check.

Here are my findings: there is options for HD radio! Mine took 15 secs to display the album cover but make sure you see the HD in the upper right corner.

We are having same issue with our new 2024 Limited with the 14 inch multimedia / JBL system. It appears the displaying of Artist and Song titles only appear if you are on a HD FM Radio channel like the image above. Our older 2014 and 2017 model vehicles displayed the info for ALL FM Radio signaling channels. Why the heck would Toyota do this. You think you are advancing in technology to find stuff stripped from your livelyhood. Hopefully Toyota will issue an update to the systems to display this info.

I know it doesn't solve your problem but it does give an example of the similar experience. Wife and I were driving around town running errands. Our 2 year old grandson was with us and one of his favorite toys is a star wars Grogu figure. Every time he'd drop it he'd say "baby yoda" and wake up infotainment system. I thought for sure something was wrong until I realized those words were so closely resembling "hey toyota".

I have a bit of a different problem. My screen does not display any images (album covers or band/singer images) while I am driving. But put it into park and images display. I am thinking that there is some sort of distracted driver setting that got changed, but I cannot find anything in the manuals that mention this. First world problem, I know
