I’m considering buying a 2020 1794 with 54k miles, fully loaded. It’s listed at $42,991 but I think I can talk them down. Leaning towards this over a 3rd Gen, I’ve just read/heard great things at the 5.7 V8. What are y’all’s thoughts on this?

Ehhh…the 5.7 is ok. It only goes for about 900,000 miles…..
Seriously, get that thing and run, ASAP!

The other options I’m considering is a gently used 3rd Gen, ‘22-24, probably closer to $50k. 3.5L V6 twin turbo, 4x4. I could afford either it’s just a matter of reliability.

    5.7 hands down for reliability

2020/21 is the best of the 2nd gen and the 1794 is very nice. If have the money you owe it to yourself to check out that gently used 3rd gen as well to see the differences and improvements. You can buy an extended warranty if you were concerned on either truck especially since the 2020 is out of warranty

5.7L all day long. I have a Capstone and still on the fence about keeping it. Some days I like it, most I think about finding my 2015 Platinum again. The 8 cylinder is missed.

No way would I trade my 2020 1794 for a new gen

Thats a hair less than I paid for mine. Mine was CPO with extended warranty, with 10k less miles. Tonneau cover, tint, and chrome delete already done with bigger Wildpeaks.

Try and talk them down but I wouldn't be afraid at that price either

Was in your shoes literally over the last 4 months… I found a 2019 1794 with 11,600 miles and pulled the trigger. After over analyzing for months I’m super happy with the 5.7!

I think you've answered your own question.

That's exactly why I got the '19 CPO 5.7 w/20,000 miles while I could, I didn't want to spend my hard earned money to be a test subject for the TT V6.

Small TT v6. 3.4L is barely a 6 cylinder. My Wrangler has a bigger displacement!!

I have yet to find an after market warranty that is worth a damn, and certainly not worth the cost compared to factory extended. Unfortunately for factory, you have to purchase before 3/36.
