hey all, FNG here and am enjoying the posts and experience of the membership. I owned a 2002 Tundra back in the day and have come back to the Tundra with my recent purchase 2022 Tundra Platinum. I am THRILLED with it so far.

I have searched the posts, best I can, for this question....
I hear what I would assume to be the air pump for air suspension occasionally purring when the truck is sitting in my garage. Truck is not running and the noise comes from rear of truck under the bed.

question- Is there a suspension "tender" that keeps pressure in the system while not in use? I haven't found that question/answer anywhere.

    Thanks!
    mmm

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. My wife’s new RAV4 has electric parking brakes that engage and disengage with a with a slight whirring sound. Is that what you are hearing on your Truck? My 21 Tundra doesn’t do that.

RTJim-thanks for the thoughts-I don’t think it’s the parking brake. I hear the pump/purr/buzz sound when the truck has been parked and off for several hours. Don’t hear it when I walk away from it after driving.
After hearing the noise, I did get in and start it then shutdown. No noise-I think the engine may have juiced the air ride suspension after start.
It’s just a random noise that comes from a truck that not running. May not have anything to do with air pump!!! Just guessin’
    Again thanks-

It's more than likely having to do with the evap system. Does this happen a few hours after driving it? If so, it's the evap system doing it's evap-y things.

    Imma keep it stock
EVAP pressure solenoid for the fuel system. Ensure that there is a consistent amount of pressure is in the tank to allow for an instantaneous start for your high-pressure fuel pump. Normal operation. Working as designed.

Thanks BMamba! It doesn't seem like an abnormal noise, just one I wanted to know more about. Since the sound comes from between the rear tires (fuel tank) that makes total sense... I knew I came to the right crowd! BTW I love your TX whiskey and always grab a bottle when I'm passing thru DFW...
