Picking up my new 2024 Tundra SR5 Crewmax tomorrow. This is my first brand new vehicle in 20 years and I'm pretty excited. My last truck was a Ram 3500 Diesel that I used for towing a 5th wheel but sold it in 2022. I knew I needed another truck but didn't want another Ram and DEFINITELY didn't want another one as big as my last one. My only other Toyota was a 2004 Rav4 that was totaled in 2007 (that car saved my life) so I knew I wanted to go with either a Tacoma or a Tundra. I chose Tundra because it has the best towing capacity in it's class and can easily tow my 25 foot boat while a Tacoma can't (boat+trailer weigh over 7000 lbs and Tacoma tow rating is only 6200). Because I do a lot of towing (boat, camper, atv trailer, etc) I plan on adding aftermarket airbags to the rear suspension.

Picked up the truck yesterday. Had a 2 hour drive home to get used to it. Gotta say I'm impressed with the i-Max 6cyl engine! The real test will be when I use it to bring my boat home next weekend! Boat+trailer are over 7000 lb.

Welcome from NOCO! I also bought the Tundra for towing. Seems like there are good air bag options for the third gen. Airlift seems like a good option from what I could tell.

Yes, I am looking into Air Lift. Towed my boat home the other day. Truck handled it like a champ. My only complaint was that it squatted a bit more than I'd like in the rear but it's a 25 foot cabin cruiser after all. Not light. PLENTY of towing power! Even merging on the highway was a breeze! Got up to speed quickly even while towing 7k+ lbs.
