Anyone had issues with Icon kit squeaking when going over just about ANYTHING. I've only had the kit for a year or so. I reached out to ICON via their online contact form though they haven't reached out as of this post.

    Thoughts??

Which ICON UCA’s do you have? If they have the rubber bushings they definitely could be making noise. You can try to get some grease in there to rule them out.

The UCAs are made by SPC.

Oh, I’m sorry, I assumed you meant you had a full Icon setup.

It's a Stage II Kit with SPC UCAs. I have to admit, I wasn't sold on ICON to begin with and the shop talked me into it. I had to look back at the invoice to see who made the UCAs.

I don’t see any grease fittings on the SPC UCA’s other than the Balljoint.

Gonna show my ignorance on UCAs here:

Could the ball joint be the culprit making the noise, which is pretty bad btw. If so, what is the best way to get grease to it? I am going to physically put my eyes on the UCAs today and see what I can make of it. As you can tell, my knowledge of suspension kits is limited. I'm Always here to learn tho.

I had SPC arms on my GX470 for at least 100k miles with no issues after I installed updated ball joints (this was years ago), I did grease the heck out of the ball joints though. Here is the proper grease: https://www.spcalignment.com/subjectFAQ/SPC Approved Grease.pdf

Also, the spherical bearings that the lower shock bolts go through would squeak on me seasonally. I used spray lube on those to quiet them down. Those are two possibilities that would be easy fixes for you.

Thanks for this. When I get a chance, im gonna put my eyes on the UCAs to see how they can be greased. Not clear to me on how to grease a ball joint without inspecting the UCA. Do you mind telling me how you greased your SPC UCAs?

There is a grease zerk right on top of the ball joint, super simple.

Which means I need a grease gun. Any recs? I prefer the Harbor Freight route. :)

The cheap ones tend to suck, I have a Lincoln that works the best out of the ones I use. Make sure to get a whip hose.

This is the Zerk Fitting on SPC UCA, correct? Again, steep learning curve here, take it easy on me. Zerk Fitting With Arrow.jpg

Yep that is it. Clean it off before greasing it, I pump mine up with a lot of grease as I live in the rust belt. If you have a buddy bounce the front end up and down you can sometimes easily find the source of the noise, same for the rear. Make sure you are not chasing your tail.

So I ran by the shop and jumped up and down on running boards to try and make it squeak. Shop thinks its coming from the bushings, not the ball joint. I don't really want to pay major coin to have the shop work on it.

Anyone have experience on bushings? I assume its pretty involved.

I installed stock UCAs a couple months back and properly torqued the through bolt. After a while a squeak appeared and that mofo would squeak over anything. After exhausting everything else I gave the through bolt an extra oomph to tighten it down and the squeak disappeared.

I would still grease those ball joints. Not sure if the Tundra arms have poly bushings or rubber, the SPC website shows a rubber factory style bushing that would require no grease. Like mentioned above, check the torque on the bolts. Here are the install instructions: https://www.spcalignment.com/instructions/25490-INS_WEB.pdf

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna get on it this weekend and see what I can do. I agree the ball joints probably need greasing anyway.
    Thanks again everyone. :muscleflexing:
