Anyone have battery issues. I have a 23 hybrid and my battery has died multiple times. Once was having the radio on in acc mode for 10minutes. The second I was gone for a week, came back and the battery was so dead the dash wouldn’t light up.

I have a dash cam, but it does not have parking mode and is plugged in via oem plug. And I have light bars. But they were off, and shouldn’t draw enough to kill the battery.

My friend had this same issue on her hybrid rav4 with nothing done to it.

is it just a crap factory battery, or is something drawing from the battery? Seems crazy to me that the battery would die so quickly.

nothing was left on. I double check as I was worried about the battery…

Sounds like you have a parasitic draw somewhere. If you have a multimeter, you can it put on the 12v battery to see if there is a draw on the battery with the truck off.

This guy has a pretty straight-forward video that explains how to DIY track a parasitic draw.

Disclaimer: Even though you have a hybrid, the process should still be pretty similar. I'm sure there will be some type of "standby" draw since you have a hybrid system. This would be for monitoring of the hybrid battery and perform battery conditioning (if Toyota has designed their hybrid system like other car manufacturers), but it should be very minimal.
