*UPDATE* I realized i installed 2000-2002 outer tie rods on my 2005-2006 spindle, knuckle, and lower control arm. going to swap those out this week along with those worn/damaged inner tie rods (pictures below)

Hey guys i recently rebuild my 2002 4wd access cab w 175,000 after a collision a year ago. this is going to be a long post so buckle up and thanks for your time. this is what the crash looked like initially

    20221001_213225.jpg

i decided to part ways with that front end for obvious reasons and did a front end rebuild with these parts

freedom uca, moog lca, siberian bushings, bilstein 5100 w/ ome 2885s, 2006 oem ball joints, 2006 spindle + knuckle (used), wheel bearings (they were cheap, dont remember the brand), cvj remanufactured (with high angle boots), carrier bearing, outer tie rods, sway bar links

the pictures are of the underside of things i think my be wrong post rebuild

IMG_1315.jpg inner tie rod (has metal shavings in the grease)
    IMG_1307.jpg carrier bearing
    IMG_1298.jpg steering rack bushing
    IMG_1296.jpg other steering rack bushing
    IMG_1289.jpg front dif bushing
    IMG_1293.jpg front dif bushing
    IMG_1309.jpg ujoint
    IMG_1312.jpg i think another ujoint

    1000001522001.jpg alignment specs

to try to isolate the rattle i deleted the sway bar (helped a little and dont scold me about it) and replaced one of the steering rack bushings (the large one) but to no avail. the growl comes into play around 30 mph and havent tried going over 50 yet so i cant tell you if it goes away after that. it seems like the growl has cyclic rhythm best described as woo woo woo if you know what i mean. the rattle happens when i turn my wheel lightly left or right and go over speed bumps. obviously i am going to be replacing inner tie rods to see if that will help (not even sure if those cause rattling). im having a multi point inspection from toyota tomorrow morning to see if they can narrow anything down. thanks

A woo woo woo on these trucks is usually a wheel bearing. Both of my front wheel bearings on my 2000 4WD are bad, and on the way out, but I've just been driving the truck the way it is.

Wheel bearing. Go to YouTube and look for videos of wheel bearing noise. See if they match.

i got 2 2wd 2005 spindles from the junkyard and swapped over my hubs and put a 4wd bearing in it. i got 2005 spindles so i can put the newer ball joints and lower control arms on my 2002. did i overlook something from converting the 2wd spindle knuckle to 4wd?
