I’ve seen it discussed several times, but all about larger tires than I actually want. I have just recently acquired a set of OEM platinum gray wheels. They had 265/60 R20 when acquired and my 4x2 SR5 currently has the stock 265/70 R18.
I want to stay close to stock on tire width and understand that I will be trading sidewall for rim with the above sizes.

I know there is a lot of info out there already, just trying to firm up a decision by Friday 1/12. Does anyone have any helpful insight on which size I should use going from the 18” to 20” wheel, pictures of similar size tires?

FYI, I am not into mud tire or anything VERY aggressive. I’d prefer a standard all terrain to semi-aggressive AT. I have no level kit or suspension upgrades and would be looking for the biggest size without rubbing. Im guessing that’d be a tire approximately 34.5”?

Any help or insight is much appreciated.

    Ultimately my question is

will 265/70R20 fit stock SR5 that has 265/70R18 factory. Unsure if I should just go with the suggested 265/60R20.

*city truck, but I want it to look cool…but not like an off road beast.

Stick with stock tire size that came on the 20's. Smaller side wall will have harsher ride.

The platinum 20’s have 265/60r20’s. That would actually be a smaller sidewall than my current SR5 with 265/70r18’s?

The sidewall will be smaller, but the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo will be the same. My 1794 came with the 20" wheels and 265/60-20 Yokohama Geolanders. I have now switched to the 18" wheels with Continental TerrainContact tires in 265/70-18. I prefer the ride and handling of my truck on the 18" wheels.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
The 265/70/20 will fit fine and look good as well.

not sure if the app is on Tundras.com but on Tacoma World there is a "Tire Size" comparison tool - you can enter the size of the two and compare them side-by-side and overlay = a good way to really see the differences. Give it a try. It will at least assist you in your decision. GL.

Just making sure stock platinum rims and tires 20 inch will fit a SR5 that came with 18s? The tire specs are the same as what the OP posted
