Nope and I was mistaken. He did his every 25-30k. Some BMW sites say every 25-30k miles, others say 50-75k miles.

10 minutes ago. Glad this crap was caught. But it doesn't work or help with lessening potential carbon build up....nothing but a false flag. Wasted my money. Ha!

Just did the oil change on the grand Cherokee and dumped the catch can. Upper intake and throttle body no residual residue.

I like having one for my particular application. I like to think it keeps as much oil from accumulating on my intercooler brick. One side benefit that I also like is that it keeps oil vapor out of the intake air, and oil vapor effectively lowers the octane rating of the air fuel/mixture. Anything to battle knock and keep timing more advanced is a win in my book. Is it absolutely necessary and every truck needs one? I’d definitely say not. It’s a nice addition for the “performance” lover. I’ve also never got a look at the valves on a high mileage 5.7 without a catch can, but I’d assume they get SOME kind of carbon accumulation, so why not take a cheap extra step to try and prevent accumulation. I agree with the thought that Toyota does not include a catch can from factory as it would require frequent draining which most would forget about. They can make it out of the warranty period no problem without one. (Look at the million mile tundras).

Mmm, rich mocha. Now just pour it down your intake runners as I have been told it’s inconsequential. Pardon me, I can’t help but be facetious. :p

Sounds like I’m going to spend $160

edit: wait, I spent $900 on a trans cooler a couple years ago and that’s still in a box in the garage… :censored:
